Fire Extinguisher Training (First Attack Fire Fighting)

What:

Do you know what to do if there is a fire in your workplace? Our Fire extinguisher training course will teach particpants to correctly identify fire fighting equipment in your workplace. This fire extinguisher training course also demonstrates the correct and safe operating procedures for extinguishing small fires using portable fire extinguishers.

If a suitable are is available, Fire Extinguisher course participants will also have an opportunity to extinguish a small fire under close supervision.

Who:

All employees, especially safety committee members, Fire Wardens, managers and any one with a responsibility in Emergency Management or Health and Safety.

How Much:

This course is only offered onsite.

Inclusions:

* Fire Extinguisher use and refils.
* Wallet Sized Fire extinguisher chart.
* Fire extinguisher identification wall chart.

How Long:

Around 2 Hours, depending on numbers.

Prerequisites:

A suitable area must be available in order to conduct the practical exercise. The practical exercise may be excluded from the training if for any reason the trainer believes it is unsafe to proceed, or if there is a fire ban on the training day. Where the trainer believes it unsafe to proceed, or if there is a fire ban, particpants will still have an opportunity to operate the fire extinguishers, but without the controlled fire.

Certificate:

On successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
